Particle Parasites is speculative design project about climate alteration technologies. The project includes a film and a set of two resource collection devices designed for a world in which the climate has been made entirely artificial through atmospheric optimization. While one device is designed to collect diamond dust from aerosol geoengineering trials, the other condenses artificial clouds into electric power. The aim of the project is to question techno-utilitarian fixes to global warming and examine the relationship between urgency and invention, between designed environments and climate change, between storytelling and science.
