Probes is a system of paper-based batteries for disposable and adaptable diagnostic devices. It was developed through a process of collaborative experiments with UTokyo's Yagi Lab, exploring the applications of a paintable battery. A variety of non-toxic battery materials were tested as sources of power for sensing tools. The project proposes an alternative to existing wasteful diagnostic technologies by combining a paper battery, a diagnostic sensor and a simple indicator in the form of a low-power, single-use device made from entirely disposable materials.
